Disposable medical device to address the problem of urinary stress incontinence among women:

Many women suffer from urinary stress incontinence, and until now, no satisfying solution has been found to the problem. MagCath developed a new device, which they hope will soon help thousands of women in their everyday life. Their solution is a soft, gentle tube, that stays inserted all day and provides the user full control over when her bladder is voided.

Stress incontinence happens when physical movement or activity — such as coughing, sneezing, running or heavy lifting — puts pressure (stress) on your bladder. Stress incontinence is not related to psychological stress.

The solution is safe, efficient and comfortable.

The startup has already conducted two clinical trials and aims for the FDA approval by 2018.

The head office of MagCath is based in Værløse; Denmark and the R&D facility is situated at the Technopark Luzern, Switzerland.
